1001010圓山花博爭艷館賞國慶軍機

花博的昔日場地依然有花朵盛開著
Flowers are still blossoming on Taipei Flora Expo field.


花博爭艷館正好在國慶軍機的航道下
巨大的轟隆聲很震撼
The Expo Dome was right under the flight path of military aircrafts on Double Ten day.

第一次親眼看到一排排分列的軍機整齊地在天空飛行
It was the first time in my life to see so many military aircrafts fly in an aero parade in the sky with my own eyes. 


朝遠方(即總統府的方向飛去)
The aircrafts flew to The Office of the President.

雷虎小組以三色彩煙秀壓軸
At-3 jets released three-colored smoke air show.


進去爭艷館休息
Take a rest in the Expo Dome.

1009中正紀念堂

下午的中正紀念堂飄著小雨
所以小小咪披著帽子

喜歡爬樓梯

一股作氣就爬上來了

父子倆的雨中散步

在著名的觀光景點一定要來張特寫

中正文化中心裡的蔣中正昔日坐車

愛玩水的小小咪一直用腳踩水窪

1008故宮至善園之遊

很久沒到故宮的至善園了
雖然故宮的康熙與太陽王路易十四的展覽非常吸引我
但要和小小咪盡情遊玩的話
至善園還是首選
(大人要20元入園費)

入口處的小橋流水就很有古意

Steve Jobs' talk about death in Stanford Commencement Speech 賈伯斯談論死亡2005史丹佛大學畢典演說

今早聽廣播新聞時, 令人驚訝的消息是賈伯斯去世了。
賈伯斯在2005年史丹佛大學畢業典禮時講到了面對死亡這件事所教會他的事,跟歐普拉在2008年同樣在史丹佛大學的畢典演講http://chuvivian.blogspot.com/2011/07/stanford-commencement-address.html ,講到她人生所學到的教訓時,都提到了follow your heart (Jobs)及follow your feelings(Oprah)
同樣地點, 不同時間, 但同樣都是美國現今的傳奇人物,一樣精采觸動人心的演說, 跟下一代所分享的思維都是告訴年輕人傾聽自己內心的聲音, 人生是自己的, 過自己想要的生活。

下面是賈伯斯該演講時的部份內容:

"Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure – these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."



"This was the closest I’ve been to facing death, and I hope it’s the closest I get for a few more decades. Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept:
No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

珍 奧斯汀 傲慢與偏見


最近在家看BBC所拍的Pride and Prejudice傲慢與偏見(DVD),很精緻的電視小品, 共36小集, 每集約10分鐘, 劇中Mr. Darcy的Pemberly莊園及建築真的是美的令人屏息。


在小說文本中是這樣描述Pemberly的:


"It was a large, handsome, stone building, standing well on the rising ground, and backed by a ridge of high woody hills;--and in front, a stream of some natural importance was swelled into greater but without any artificial appearance. Its banks were neither formal nor falsely adorned."


『它是一棟巨大漂亮的石砌建築,,在高聳的地面上直直的矗立著, 後方是森林小丘的山脊,前面是一條正在漲潮的小溪, 如此地自然,一點都沒有人工的痕跡,小溪的河岸點綴既不單調也不做作。』

0924花博爭艷館之遊;建國百年經建特展&湯瑪士防走失包真實用

花博早已結束,留下的場地成為民眾休閒的去處
捷運圓山站外的爭艷館常有不錯的展覽,戶外的空間又大又安全,
成為我們一家的新歡
The Flora Expo was closed long ago, and the area has become a nice place for leisure.
Our new favorite site is the Expo Dome out of the Yuanshan MRT station.
Its outdoor space is vast and safe for kids. 


戴起帽子耍酷

 想當初逛花博,此處人山人海地排列著
There used to be a lot of people lining up out of the EcoARK during the exposition.


現在方圓百尺就只有這對父子擁抱著
Now the place is so empty that the two enjoy themselves on the ground. 


過了中山北路的天橋來到台灣館的場地
Passing the overpass of Zhongshan North Road to the Taiwan Garden. 
The main structure of Taiwan Garden is a bamboo dome.

讓人很放鬆
